Who We Are

Growing up I was always inspired by fashion but was persuaded to go in a different direction by my hard-working parents. They immigrated to the US and opened and ran their own sewing factory throughout the ’80s and ’90s. I was always intrigued by the fashion industry, however I sought out to study psychology instead with the hope of helping others. I fell upon a job opportunity for the summer and began working in the fashion industry in 2002 where everything just fell into place.

Long days and late nights, years and years of focusing on my successfully growing career, I still felt a void. All the hours and days I had spent, still wasn’t good enough. I couldn’t pin-point what changes were needed to achieve happiness… maybe my own brand? A career change? I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and make an impact.

My passion for fashion was slowly fading.  I was desperate to reach out and welcome a new challenge, a change for the good.

In 2017, I realized that all the tools were within my means to actually make it happen!  With the love and support of people who truly believe in me and my vision, I began to make the dream a reality.

In 2018, MELS was established and has been growing since. I welcome and support new brands, large and small stores, and anyone that has interest in coming together to make a change.

“Feel good, look good, do good” is a permanent stamp within me, and I carry this throughout my business. I continue building my business through support and I advance my career by helping people and the environment.
